Suzanne Gray, DVM
Suzanne is a small animal internal medicine specialist, which means that she takes care of dogs and cats with complicated medical problems. She loves working with pet parents to find the best way to manage difficult diseases. She grew up on the English-Welsh border, and graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2000. She crossed the pond to complete an internship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of small animal internal medicine in 2004. In 2005 she moved to San Diego, and has worked in clinical practice since that time. She holds a Master of Fine Art degree in creative writing, and her memoir, My Patients and Other Animals: A Veterinarian’s Stories of Love, Loss and Hope was published by Spiegel and Grau in April, 2018. When she’s not writing or caring for her patients and their families, she enjoys spending time with her human and animal family, naturally the animals outnumber the people.
